Jonathan was spotted during passing drills at SLU. Here's a comment from the SLU Fan Forum...
7/22/09 - "Saw Dents out there this evening and was impressed with his size, strength and ability to catch the football...had several balls thrown his way and made it look easy...has long arms and huge hands...ran a nice deep post route for a TD, as well as several out routes...I don't like putting expectations on true freshmen to produce right away, but from a purely physical standpoint, he and Jae Cutno fit right in with our older guys...they're both 6-2ish and well over 200 pounds already...Cutno may be 220+ and Dents looks every bit of 210."

"Welcome aboard Jonathan Dents, 6-2, 200, WR, Birdville HS, Richland Hills, Tx...nice find after the signing date and should make up for the loss of Reggie Travis to Memphis...to be honest, I think we may have come out better - Dents is more physical, more polished, and played in a much better program that throws the football...caught 45 balls, and averaged nearly 22 yards per catch, and 18 TDs as a senior...great student with a 26 ACT and 1570 SAT..."
