Birdville, which started the second-half down by two touchdowns, had a solid first offensive drive in the third quarter. The Hawks had a first-and-goal from the one-yard line. But, the Rebels’ defense made four straight stops as they took over on downs. Birdville, though, found the end zone on its next drive when Josh Dorman hooked up with Jonathan Dents on an 18-yard TD pass to cut Richland’s lead to 21-13.
